Life has been rough lately. Several plans and opportunities that I worked hard for and eagerly anticipated haven’t worked out. Goals that I had set for myself weren’t attained. This has left me feeling utterly exhausted, and my soul has grown weary. It is sad because I know how good the Lord has been to me, and I will be the first to tell you that God has done so many amazing things in and through my life. History has always been one of my favorite subjects. Growing up, I learned about a man named Nathan Hale. He was an American spy during the War for Independence. Eventually, the British discovered his true identity, and he was executed. Too Busy for Christ
Luke 10 tells of a time when Jesus entered a village. In that village lived two sisters, Mary and Martha. They were the sisters of Lazarus and close friends of Jesus. He went to their house to visit with them. During His visit, Martha was busy serving and preparing the house for Jesus, while Mary sat at Jesus’ feet to listen to His teaching.
