This gem of a verse was one of the first that I committed to memory as an adult. It’s one of those “hit you in the gut” verses that can really make you feel the need for Christ’s forgiveness on a daily (ok, hourly) basis. As a mom of four, there are rarely days when I don’t have to put the needs of another ahead of my own. You have to count a baby as more significant than yourself, or he/she won’t survive.
